I've been reading about people hurting themselves and beeing forced to take a break from playing guitar for some time..

This morning it was my time sad.gif

I was running late this morning, and of course I ran around to collect things. Right in front of my front door, I have a very low-friction wooden floor, and a even more low-friction carpet... In my rush, I forgot to tread carefully and gravity cought me. Out of reflexes, I used my left hand to catch the fall... My entire bodyweight then crushed it during impact..

Nothing broke, I think.. But I'm extremely bruised and can't use it for much sad.gif I might have to take it easy with it for some weeks..

Just wanted to rant a little tongue.gif

OUCH!! ohmy.gif

Hope you get well real soon.
Sometimes something gets better when not being practiced every day - so maybe your playing will improve when you are ready to pick up your guitar again! wink.gif

Just a quotation of Zapp Branningan (from Futurama) as he crushes his spacecraft into a planet:
"GRAVITY - you win again!" laugh.gif

Take care!

That's unfortunate mate, but it happens. Hope you get well very soon, and continue playing! smile.gif

PS try to put some rubber stickers on the back of the carpet might prevent it from slipping.

your alive, that's what matter the most. It doesn't matter if you can't play guitar for a while, at least you still have a chance to play guitar again w/o permanent nerve damages.
