I wouldnt want to be carrying on a conversation in one thread, but then have to go elsewhere (upload thread) to watch/upload the video. To me that will become cumbersome. These practice videos are just fine in each mentoree's single thread in my opinion. I think there is some value to it all being linear and in one spot.

Now, that's my man! laugh.gif

If thats what works for you then thats fine smile.gif

For the others if they want an "uploads" thread for their mentorees then thats fine also smile.gif

It comes down to what works best for you guys, and to decide that between Mentor and mentoree.

agree !! I think it's ok how it is by now.
Maybe later it could be good to move it to the Agendas as it will be possible to create a topic for each session/week.
Only problem with the agendas are, their are a bit hidden and not really visible in the forum over "View New Posts".

I'm also happy with the layout. I do think every week they should be moved into practice agenda with the first post of new thread giving conclusions from the past week and then have that thread for working on week 2 in. Also expect a post from me tonight Andy as I'm at work currently smile.gif

For the competition the mentoring threads are in the MTP forum boards, I think the main question that was asked was having another thread in that board for uploads, for that purpose as I said above if that particular pair want to do that then thats fine, whatever works best for individual pairings, not everyone has to do the same thing smile.gif

Later, when the MTP is in full swing the practice agenda will be a lot easier to follow week to week, than trying to follow it in the forum.

bit of a broken record moment, but this is a 4 week competition phase for the 10 Intermediate mentors, the 10 mentorees at the moment have the benefit of a little extra extended mentoring.

As a bit of a hint ... slow down, this isnt about who can get the most out of their student in 4 weeks

I'm happy to hear it. Tolek is having a lot of patience with me, and I saw I go slower than other beginners.

There is definitely nothing wrong with slow at all smile.gif, it's all about willing to learn and creating a good atmosphere for learning between the mentor and mentoree. Improvements will come over time that way (with one soon, with others a bit later smile.gif).

Hey man! Please stop saying that you are the worst! That´s so untrue. I´m pretty satisfied with your work. I applied as a mentor, so I expected everything. biggrin.gif By the way, I´m happy to have you as a mentoree. smile.gif And don´t worry about the "slow progress", you will be amazed by your progress in some months!

hey Valentino

THIS IS NOT A COMEPTITION, WHO IS MOVING FASTER !!!!!

i am also a beginner, but there are some things that i can do a bit faster than, therfore others i will be a lot slower than you and so on .......

even if we all get better there will always be one who is still better .......

i think all of you in here mentors and mentorees doing a great job and also the guys who make this possible in the background, so i think we all should keep motivation and take out the best for all of us from this

KEEP ROCKING guys

Harry

The tortoise always beats the hare. Unfortunately I'm the hare and I started off quickly and I'm quickly falling down to Earth lol.

It's not about speed. It's about going at a pace that is comfortable and beneficial to you.

I know that we are not racing here tongue.gif , I was just worried because I see other topics where you are doing things that I find really difficult, and my steps are a bit shorter because I have a lot of bad habits to correct, but I see I'm doing steps so I'm really satisfied.

Its amazing how quickly you are humbled when you work with someone in an "instructor" role.

Here, play these open position chords at this beginner level speed....

DOH!!!!!!

Just had a thought!! Will the lucky 5 mentors get their very own colour for the forum list?!? Like instructors are red etc Or maybe a custom logo type thing under the forum name? Like with student instructor?

How about a free rabbit? Or a panda. Yeah I'd take a panda please!
