Under Guitar Lesson>All Guitar Lessons, if I were to start at absolute beginner, then move on to beginner, and then intermediate and so on, will each previous set of lessons have prepared me for the next level? In other words, if I do each lesson in order, will they actually take me from, "beginner," to, "insane," with out any holes?

Mmm I think there are a wide collection of lessons, I don't actually know if you won't have a little gap but I think if you follow the lead you'll be prepared when you jump those steps.

The best approach to that way of practicing would probably follow the Lesson Series:
https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/lesson-series.htm

Guitar has many styles, techniques and theory approaches, so you better focus on one thing at a time, wether it's alternate picking, chords, rhythm, shred, scales, blues, funk...

The lesson series provide step by step instructions to get better in a defined aspect, while regular lessons focus on one style or group of techniques which might very well differ from other lessons in the same difficulty level or above.

Each instructor speaks about the lesson and you can always look for individual lessons which focus on the aspect you want to improve for any difficulty level.

Good luck!

You can check out this plan that I've made for beginners. It systematically guides you through some things that you should definitely go through if you wanna tackle some more advanced lessons.

Also, this plan is not for everybody, since we all practice different things. You should be aware what are your weaknesses with playing and try to make a system of lessons that will help you to overcome that in order to tackle any specific advanced lesson. That system that I gave you is nice in general, so you can borrow some concepts and lessons out of it that you think you need to work on. I hope it helps mate. Cheers! smile.gif

It is heard to explain each level cause there are many things involved,
technique, theory knowledge etc.
My advice is to try with beginner lessons if you feel like a beginner
but set it to yourself, some lessons might be more challenging and some less,
there is no way to predict that until you try the lesson by yourself.
The goal is always to go for some more challenging stuff
in order to progress!! smile.gif

I think theres a gap between beginner and intermediate that I'm still in .. Beginner lessons are too easy and most intermediate is too hard..

Well, the question is bit to hard to answer, but I will try.

Yes if You start from lvl 1 and gradually increase the level of learned lessons You will be able to cope with 10 lvl lessons one day. Still we don't know how many lessons will You have to learn before being able to do that. It also isn't as strict as: learn lvl 4 lessons and than go to lvl 5. I think that after doing for example ten lessons on lvl 4 You would be able to have a take on lvl 6 or even lvl 7 lesson ( of the same style/technique of course ). Also the difficulty level of lessons is sometimes quite strange, and You can have a harder time learning some lvl 3 lesson than a lvl 6 one...

All in all, GMC lessons practiced in a proper, concentrated way will surely lead to a gradual improvement of ones technique, so reaching abilities to play level 10 lessons also. But I wouldn't concentrate on that to much.. IMO it is much better to dedicate time to all the other factors of guitar playing besides technique, as otherwise I could reach 10 level technique and couldn't compose anything sounding more complex than level 2 lesson;)
