Hi guys
Finally got some good quality guitar-time to myself and finished off a new song! I uploaded a very early version of this one not too long ago, incase it sounded familiar to some of you But as usual, no vocals yet.. and this song is written with vocals in mind. I'm still not sure if i'm going to add some synths, but I think it works as it is now. Any comments or further ideas are more than welcome I_Forgive.mp3 ( 8.39MB ) Number of downloads: 430 -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio

Man, as usual this song is awesome. I love the little bit of subtle delay you have on the rhythm track. The lead guitar is awesome around 2:09, I love the atmosphere you get out of it, quite an evil riff if I do say so myself. love the way the double bass picks up around 3:15 or so, the solo at 4:10 is great. Some just awesome licks in there, as the same with the solo right after it. and from 5:30 the way the song concludes just feels great. Whole song has avery natural feel to it. Excellent job man. When you release an album, im first in line for it. If you dont mind me asking, What do you record guitars with on this song? Thanks a lot for the good review and the nice words! The guitars are recorded the same as always; Jackson SLSMG into JMP-1 preamp, and then dry emulated outputs from the preamp into soundcard. All effects like reverb and delay are plugins in Cubase. But the sound might be a bit different because this time i ran the whole project through Ozone 3 and used it as a mastering tool. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio

I will listen again when I get home. Right now I am at my bro's. These speakers are built into the LCD and sound like crap. But that said this sounds just amazing to me so far. I can give some better comments later if you feel they will be useful. Great job bro! Thanks and yes, i would love to get comments I think this is one of your best actually The beginning reminds me of Testament and the rest reminds me of you But it's really great I'm glad you're gonna help me with my album, that way I know it's gonna be great Thanks! Cant wait to get started on the albums This is awesome trond I love it what style vocals are you looking to put over it?. Thanks! I was thinking something along the lines of Devin Townsend-style vocals. But thats very hard to do unless you have Devin himself nearby Cool, aggressive riffs and quite a nice sound I like it much, good job on it! Really nice riffing Trond. Extremly head banging friendly rythm and that's always something good in a tune like this one. Thanks Nice chops! Thanks! Woah!! that was insane i loved it so much especially the riff at 0:35+ that was some seriously cool stuff man And could you please do a lesson of this i would love it so much and By the way Which part would be the Forgivness part cheers Thanks The title will make sense once i finish off the lyrics This sounds great Trond, very tight rhythm chops! So tell me, how did you record these awesome guitars? You doubled the rhythm tracks, right? Thanks Yea, i always double every track, including the solo trakcs. For the rhythm tracks i usually pan each 41% left and right. Not sure how i ended up on exactly 41%, but it works for me Tight riffing there Trond! Thanks awesome, love your song writing ability! & playing of course! love it Thanks Ok, that was awesome, I see that you invested lot of energy as well as passion. Just not to think that I praise you, here is what I don't like. Song has to many parts, you can create 3 songs form this one:) The more melodies and parts you have, the less focus. I know that lot of those progressive metal/rock music is very complex, and have many parts, but I would take 2-3 riffs(all are good) and develop them. Nice work! Thanks alot I probably tend to overdo it with adding different sections in my songs. I guess it's a way of compensating for the lack of lyrics and also to keep it interesting to myself. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio
