I was thinking like this for an ending (maybe it should be clean harmonics!)

Attached File  Ending.wav ( 3.05MB ) Number of downloads: 181

ok did them clean

hmm maybe this won't be used but well I tried biggrin.gif

Sry to have to upload in WAV MP3 encoder is acting stupid!

Attached File  Ending_Clean.wav ( 2.78MB ) Number of downloads: 146

Looks like things are going well. If OC can get most of the songs structure down at 130, I will add any drums that he may have trouble with. OC, do you think you can get this done by the weekend? I would think that is plenty fast.
I can't wait to hear your bass playing. wink.gif

Thanks all.

Ok, going to spice things up a bit. wink.gif I figured we would do a mini collab as well as our song. Just solo in Em - Em Pent and it will sound great. Give us something to do when we don't have parts due or after they are done. Why not right? If we run out of time we can work it out after in the uploads forum.

Backing track > I decide that backing sucks, stay tuned. One would have to change keys twice to make it sound good and it was too fast.

Also, OC I took you entire file and created a drum track. You could loop the entire drum track a couple times and just make every thing else fix. These are just wav files I loop and cut not to bad if I take the time to cut and paste correctly. If you can use it I can edit it if needed. Might not be what you had in mind but I was killing time. dry.gif

It's going alright mate. It's going slowly and wont be done for today. Exactly how much time have we got to finish this track. I'm just about to start adding some of your riffs to the track. Here the the guitar pro file currently of the song. Please ignore track 2 as it's some stupid lead ideas of mine. The first solo will be over riff from bar 36. After that solo one of somebody elses riffs will be there. Sorry it's taking so long. It isn't easy to get a complete song together that'll be good smile.gif

Well, since this is really going into our 3rd week I would say we are on track. wink.gif
This file you have here to me is perfect and almost to where we could loop it once. And then start writing over it. At the very least, we should have a great instrumental. I see nothing wrong with that. So I say great job OC. If you can pull this off over the few days, it should be great timing. If there is bass for us to write to we can make new riffs that fit the bass. Again we were looking for directing and we choose one. That one was you. tongue.gif We have to adapt to the directionn Keep your job with the full song backbone simple enough to get it done.

I have never been able to get GP5 to exporting a wav file and mix right. But I have always used the midi as a file I can jam with. I am going to go do it with this file now.

But the coolest thing to happen yet is to know how great our bass player is. Can't wait to hear you play this. Depending how bad you want your guitar parts in you could just post the whole song (arrangement) with your drums and real bass and tell us to finish it while you watch, Cause your work is complete. Thanks for your efforts biggrin.gif

I know very well, I'm working on my own song, so.... wink.gif I know how it eats time...
It's just we have to have enough time to rerecord our riffs over a completed arrangement smile.gif
Keep up good job! cool.gif

If I upload the final tab tonight can you do the backing to fit with the tab at 130bpm so go with the bass a bit more and then I will record bass and if everybody wants to choose riffs and parts to solo in then that would be great for me as this is taking me so much time I doubt I will find time to record guitar. I wanted the song to be good so I've put quite a bit of time into thinking it through smile.gif

Hey guys I have been writing stuff for the mini collab but I broke a string (high E) yesterday and I haven't got any left so I will have to buy some when I have time.

Other than that I want your opinions if I should try to do a simple melodie for the Clean part that utak3r did

I need to get the tab up. I just haven't had the time. I should be free tonight to finish it but it'd take another week probably to be happy with it as I'm a perfectionist but I can rush through the rest of the song and just do whatever.

A month to write and record a song isn't enough in my opinion but I'm doing my best. In my band it takes us about 3 months to write, practice and record a song.

I believe the only thing we have done wrong is,,, forget this was a beginner project. huh.gif Do the best you can and get it up even if you have to shorten it up a bit or simplify it some. We just need backings for the rest to play over to get a song done in time. We might should have done a cover but none the less we can make us a song. If admin says our time is up we will finish the song in uploads. I feel that would only be fair for us and the next crew. So I say do you best as we all will and rock on. I still think this tune can still be pretty good, and I am going with that.
