Latency is almost zero while using Gearbox because of the direct monitoring of the Toneport card. Lost of soundcards have this option for their own effects. This way, the signal doesn't travel via DAW software in order to be heard on speakers. But if you turn on direct monitoring in DAW, this is where the latency will show up.

It's really easy to use in reaper, you just configure sound options to use the toneport and that's it
Toneport GX is teh same as Studio GX. The only differences is that the studio has the pod farm plug-in (which allows to change the sound AFTER you record a dry signal). Toneport GX can use Pod Farm stand alone, and Gearbox (Studio too of course) which are really cool. UX1 is needed only if you plan on recording vocals, as it has that extra mic input over GX. Sound is the same in all three models. They are totally worth it. -------------------- Guitars:

If you plan to record just guitar , go with GX its got the same sound as others...No real limitations other then phisical inputs/knobs This post has been edited by Bogdan Radovic: Jan 14 2009, 11:36 PM -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net
