Easy!!! Blackstar HT5
 Tube amp but you can play with headphones or plug it into your sound card for recording. there's there's the Peavey Windsor Studio, I don't recall if it takes headphones or not. Same price as the Blackstar and I'd choose the Blackstar. There's another called Blackheart 5/3W but I suppose you'll have to turn that one up a bit louder to find the sweet spot. The Blackstar (note the difference, star/heart) is built to sound cranked already at low volumes and the Windsor has a power attenuator so that you can turn it up loud and then attenuate the power, or volume rather to any level down to complete silence. That gives cranked tube sound at low volume. Blackheart also got a 0,25W amp called Killer Ant (they lable it as 1W). Cool!

Here are a few other options. Line 6 will probably give you the most versatility and in my opinion are the best modeling amps.

As far as a practice amp goes I'd say that Vox's Valvetronix models are quite nice, they aren't overly expensive either!

If you wanna classic blues rock Gary Moore or ACDC Tone than you're looking for Marshall or British type of gain.
I suggest Marshall DSL201 for that. It's all tube, it has 12" speaker, and it rocks

I mean for just playing like that you could just as well get a Line 6 POD or such and just plug in a pair of headphones. However it all comes down to taste, I mean I play on a AD50vtXL myself, and it sounds great for it's price + It has a quite nifty feature which let's you control the amount of watts you wanna use, meaning you can keep the master cranked and just play it as a 10watt amp and not lose any dynamics. Only reason I didn't specifically recommend you that one is I don't know how it would fit your playing style? Vox DA-20. Small, lots of features, can run on batteries if needed, great (some would say legendary) sound. I have the DA-15 and I love it, but I'd recommend the 20 because it has 8 inch speakers. I think the 6 are a little too midrangey at times.

The Tiny Terror or the Marshall DSL probably fit your style. But they probably won't sound good at bedroom level. A really cheap amp that you might like is the epiphone junior or the harley benton clone of it. They're both all tube, cheap, and only 5 watts, so you can drive them even at home. The Blackheart and Blackstar HT-5 seam to be similar.

the new valvetronix by vox are very versatile with loads of features, worth a look!
