So, I went and bought me a new guitar today smile.gif

I've been looking at this guitar back and forth for a long time now but its been a bit out of my pricerange. But this week they lowered the price with 4-500 EUR here in sweden (some are selling them for more money used than this one cost new)

The guitar is an ESP Eclipse I CTM Snow White which is the exact model I wanted. The Eclipse II does not have gold hardware on the Snow White and I wanted the gold! I bought it directly at the store and since we rehearsed today I already go to try out quite thorougly (spelling?). It is (so far) all I wanted it to be, it looks as great "In Real Life" as it did on the pics so I am very happy smile.gif

I dont have any pics yet but this is how it looks smile.gif

Great choice man, this must sound incredible! cool.gif

The gold hardware does look better on the snow white finish...

Nice axe mate!
I believe I saw another member post (Jer maybe?) about getting one of these very recently, only his was black!, but maybe I'm confusing the models, I'm gettin' old you know laugh.gif
Enjoy smile.gif
Edit: Just checked, it wasn't an eclipse and it was red. At least it was an ESP laugh.gif
Edit2: Wikipedia says "The EC Series is also known as the Eclipse Series.", I knew I was right Muahahahaha!!!

Beautiful guitar indeed, almost the same model as I play.

Oh btw,I think The Eclipse II is the USA verison of the Eclipse I CTM, they only have 3 volume/tone knobs + slightly different horn on it due to some legal issues with Gibson in USA.

The ECXXX models are LTD, which is the "cheaper" brand of ESP. I don't know if there is much difference, but the EC series have abalone inlays and abalone bindings around all of the guitar. While abalone looks great in my humble opinion it was a bit too much to have them all around although I am certain that other people like it that way. I tried an EC1000 too and while it was a great guitar I really think the Eclipse played better.

I had a Gibson LesPaul special before this one, I hated the sound of it (I dunno why, it was so "shrill", there might have been something wrong with it) but it played like a dream, I tried 3000EUR gibsons that was not as great as this one to play so I was really concerned about how the ESP would play. It plays great! I sold the gibson before I went to try out the ESP so it would have really sucked if I didnt like it smile.gif

I'll take some pics and post'em, when it comes to soundclips I dunno smile.gif I suck at dialing in a good tone on my POD so it would still sound like crap... (I suck at playing too)
