hi folks

here we go with another great peace of music from Muris
i tried to copy it as good as possible cool.gif

i know i am not Muris but i think i did it quite well rolleyes.gif

ok some misstakes in the bendings and a bit too slow at the 16th notes (and some more huh.gif ) but overall i guess you can hear that this is music cool.gif and not just screaming guitar ........

as alwaysi am looking for YOUR oppinion about that, especially the instructors are up to tell me "the shocking truth" tongue.gif

in fact that i am quite busy with the MTP - Lessons i thought i need to do some totally different in between
BTW special THX to Andres "coffeman" who is really great player and i am very honest to be mentored by him for the next time, THX Andres

ok you can start with your comments and i appreciate lots of them rolleyes.gif

see ya with the next lesson
THX
Harry

Well played, I must say you have good vibrato. There is a small rhythmical mistake before the tapping part , where you play E minor arpeggio, just little rhythmical inconsistency, nothing serious. Just repeat that part 20-30 times slowly, and you will nail it.

Good job!

With my beginner's eyes: cool vibrato, but there're some bending errors. Overall play is really nice, it's smooth (at least for me rolleyes.gif )

That's what I'm talking about. 99% of people would say that is 100% perfect, but no......
Here at GMC we'll look for the mistakes with microscope:)

Just do what I advice you, repeat that part slowly, 30 times, and in 10 minutes it's perfect. Relax for 5 minutes and record it, that's the way I do it when I can't play something, and there are 5-10 spots in each piece that are difficult to me, so you just stop, slow down, repeat, repeat, repeat...

Recording your self is a powerful tool for learning, when you hit that red button, you are really working, you're pushing your self, later you watch it, and look for the mistakes, and again and again, if you are critical, this method will work for you.

I agree with Supersize, the playing is smooth and proper, but the guitar tone I don't like. Maybe it has something to do with the equipment used to record? I also saw what Vasilije pointed, but that is because I read the whole thread before listening, could overlook it otherwise:P

that's definitely a true - always when I have a hard time with something I go and do something else or play something easy....
and then suddenly I can play that hard thing smile.gif it's the matter of your mind...

Well played man smile.gif Timing was spot on, bends were pretty correct most of the time (though sometimes you seem to doubt. You start bending in one tempo then slow down then get back to the tempo.)

I disagree about the vibrato being good though. You should work on making the vibrato wider, because now it sounds a bit out of tune and less feely. I'm not saying your vibrato is the worst I've heard, but it definately needs work. Wider!

Vibrato is like a fast repeated bend and everytime you just don't hit the top note it's going to sound off. I'm struggling with it as well, but I feel like it has improved since I really started working on it. I hope you will do the same.

About the tone. Try to play with your settings. I have it like this --> Bass 7, Middle 10, Treble 6 and Gain: 7,5

Love the looks of your guitar by the way biggrin.gif

Great job!
I liked your take, good rhythm placement and clean technique.
I do agree about the tone not serving your track well, but behind the tone you play it pretty well! :-)

Nice take!! smile.gif

As said above, there were few not well pitched bands
but you're getting closer.
Now, maybe you could try to apply more energy into your playing?
Try hitting notes harder, lets see how it's gonna sound like!! smile.gif

Hey Harry

I have followed your posts particularly with the MTP.

Nothing to add to the feedback above but ....... rolleyes.gif Wow the progress in your playing is great to see and a real inspiration to me. If I could play like that I would be pleased shows me what can be achieved with a bit of hard work. Keep it up!

thx Boson
i try to do my best cool.gif
but this all happens in mind, i love the MTP and it the main thing is that this keeps me motivated
practice is lot more funny, when there is someone to tell what you can do better, what you can change or what you have done, siting alone in the cellar is not so funny, but when i read the comments of all of you makes me fly to the sky, even if its says " hey man, i dont like you bendings" or whatever

thats the main point in my oppinion, because this fact makes me work on my "bendings", becaus i think next time i will do better

so i would to thank you all again for your comments, never thought that this would make me motivated like this
lets see how it comes, when there are lessons that wont be that easy for me, like Muris alternate picking thirds mad.gif
seems like i will never crakc that damn nut ...... rolleyes.gif

thx again to all of you
cya
