A new line of amps are released from Blackstar at the NAMM show in US today. This could be something really really nice as a follow up on the Artisan series. biggrin.gif

From their homepage:

SERIES ONE 45
By switching both preamplifier and power amplifier parameters the Series One 45W delivers both Class A style tones with a bell-like ring and classic push-pull crunch depending on the mode selected. The ISF control removes the limitations of traditional designs allowing you to tune the tone to exactly the sound you are looking for.
DPR can reduce the power down to 4.5W and MIDI switching and a parallel effects loop make this the ultimate pro’s combo.

• 45W Watt combo with built-in DPR power reduction
• 2 x ECC82, 3 x ECC83, 2 x EL34 valves
• Clean channel with Warm (Class A) and Bright (Plexi) modes
• Overdrive channel with Crunch and Super Crunch modes
• ISF equipped tone control section
• Presence control
• Master Volume
• All-valve effects loop
• MIDI switching
• Speaker emulated output

I really like the built-in attenuator, with the knob in front. IMO any amp should have this feature instead of master volume! smile.gif

Seems interesting although unlike Ivan I really hate amps woith attenuators. I like my amps to scream all the time. I don't need extra knobs to stop my amp from screaming laugh.gif I just got a slightly less powerful amp so sold my 50W valve and got a 30W valve and it is perfect for home and live now. I'd say 30W is fine for home. I can get it to a decent volume and live I can blow the walls off biggrin.gif
