That's the idea of the year, David biggrin.gif

I'm all for that! The instructors could be judges and determine how many points the student should get. If I take a level 7 lesson, and get 5 points on it for example, I could "clean up my act" and record a new take on it to claim the remaining 2 points I didn't get if I impress the instructor enough smile.gif

David's idea is great!!

If it's well organized (instructors as judges) and if it's no problem to acquire these points then this could be a strong inspiration to tackle lessons as a whole with BT.

Great feature Kris, that is a real plus!

Makes me think of something..
Not sure how we would put that together though, but here it is...

It would be cool and motivating for people to sign up if they could "win" these points by finishing the lesson. Members can then exchange points for goodies in a store sections (GMC picks, T-Shirts, membership, secret lessons, and so on)
I think that would not only encourage people to sign up, but also promote the website thanks to the T-Shirts and stuff users win. For those of you who play XBox360, it's kind of like achievement points, except that here you can actually use the points to get stuff.

The only thing is that we would need a way to validate the points and determine how to win them...

I know this is a random idea, but what do you think, is that worth brainstorming?

YES! wink.gif cool.gif

This is an excellent idea David! biggrin.gif At this point we can't really do the "sending stuff" part though, (we tried with gmc t-shirts but we don't have enough people to handle that kind of administration - so site development was suffering).

However - secret lessons and free mebership (etc) isn't a problem. Actually - I think the coolest would be if we could have some kind of badge thing or similar - showing how many points you have got right under your avatar..!

So - anybody interested in putting a structure for this together? We would have to think a little about who will be in the jury etc. This could also be a first step towards a GMC diploma! smile.gif

Great!
Glad you like the idea man.
I'd be happy to help with structuring that.
Just not quite sure where to start...

If you check out a lesson you will find this kind of number in the upper right corner:

So you easily can see the level of difficulty without having to look elsewhere. smile.gif

Once again I want to remind you that difficulty level is a vague estimation - and should only be used as a very rough guideline!

yeh! I have thought this would be good for a long time....
