I'm stressed out through trying to tab out the keyboard to this live version of this song. I've been trying all day and it just sounds like rubbish. I nailed the bass tab for it but the keys are impossible and the guitar pro tabs for it are so very wrong as always.

If somebody could help me I'd be very greatful as it's one of my favourite songs ever and I want to play it on keyboard.

Yeah I tabbed out guitar and bass but I don't know the chords the keyboard player plays throughout the song. sad.gif And I can't seem to hear them well enough to hear the notes sad.gif

Here is a quick chord arrangement of the intro and verse.
It is probably messing you up because the bass stays the same and the chords change over the constant bass part...

The verse is built around a C Dorian scale, you can hear the Major 6th in the background. The bass stays in C, and keys add some chords over it to set the Dorian tone.

Roughly, there's Cm/Cm7/Cm6/Cm11

I attached a little GP5 idea there. Let me know if that helps!

This is what I got for the bass and intro

But I don't think it's right. If you watch other live videos his hand is all over the place sad.gif

I'm not sure whether those chords that you posted David would work very well as the chord definitely has a C and D# in I believe for the first one but I could be wrong. It's really annoying me and I've literally been trying all day.

I'm 99% sure that the bass is spot on. I spent 2 days tabbing that correctly.

Your tab sounds great.
I tried to play the verse chords over it and it sounded OK to me...
Have you tried?

No I'm going to try tomorrow as it's 2.30am nearly here. I will post again tomorrow to see how it goes. The bit I just can't do is the quick changing chords up the keyboard at 2 mins 22 seconds. Any idea. I'm guessing he is going up chords in the key of the song quickly but does the chord change every chord like and what chord is the start.

What's the key of the song?

This info should help me out also and I will try your verse chords.

I believe the intro is in C minor.
Verse is in C Dorian

There's a modulation around 1:10 to G# Dorian

Chorus sounds to be G# minor

The chord you are talking about at 2:20 is not easy to transcribe, you're right!
I hear a D in there.. Almost like a Cm9..

Any one else has any input here? :-)
