Got a guitartechniques magazine for christmas and now I´m trying to learn some country licks in it.
I was just wondering, how are you supposed to pick, if the lick is something like this:

1:-2---------2-0-------|
2:---3------------------|
3:-----4----------------|
4:-------5--------------|
5:----------------------|
6:----------------------|

Should i apply only upstrokes on it? Feels so much easier to use just downstrokes, but i guess thats becouse I´m more used to that.

You almost always want to try and alternate your picking on the strings by doing down, up, down, up
or even up, down, up, down if it feels more comfortable

Yes - especially if you are after a clean country lick sound - it's going to sound like a chord stroke if you sweep (only upstrokes). Alternate picking is tricky here - but worth practcicing!
