Hello all,

my name is Christian Gau from a small village called Gruendau-Lieblos in Germany near Frankfurt. I am 40 years old, got a wife and two kids and work as an investment banker in Frankfurt.

I am in drumming for nearly three years now. I have been with a professional teacher for all this time. Probably a year ago I had the idea of enhancing my musical skills by starting to play guitar. Actually guitar playing has been a dream of mine since I was a teenager and started to dig into music like Dire Straits, Saga, Bruce Springsteen etc. However, I never had the discipline to really get into it. Today, the discipline is there but the time is missing. I started with a guitar teacher just like I did for drumming, but it became more and more painful to get to my lessons in time.

So... what I want to do yow here in this community is to find out whether online lessons - which I can take whenver I got time - will work out better for me.

Gear so far:
E-Guitar Cort Hiram Bullock Signature; Strat shape with two Humbuckers and a single coil in the middle
Western Guitar: Cort EVL A6 BKS (small western guitar with E-Guitar like feeling)
Amp Engl Screamer Combo and a Roland Micro Cube

Thanks in advance fo everybody helping me. See you then.

Regards,
Christian

Welcome Christian, you will find a lot of members here who are very skilled without any formal training. GMC is a great place to start, or sharpen the skills of a 20yr vet. Just ask lot's of questions as the forum is the brain behind the lessons. Good luck man and enjoy! smile.gif

Cheer's!

I'm glad to see your here, Wilkommen biggrin.gif

You have found the perfect place to expand your musical horizon. You don't have to trouble organizing lessons with a teacher, GMC will teach you everything you need and you can even practice in the night (like me...) cool.gif

Anyway. Great amps you have there! And Dire Straits rocks for sure.

Welcome again to GMC
