Our next gig, well, after the one on the 2/3 februari, the theme is 70's. I thought Jimi, but Jimi died in 1970 so it might not be the best descision. We don't NEED to stick to this theme but it would be cool. Do you guys know any more popular bands from the 70's? With guitar's ofcourse.

Pink Floyd released these albums during the 70's

  • Atom Heart Mother (1970)
  • Meddle (1971)
  • Obscured by Clouds (1972)
  • The Dark Side of the Moon (1973)
  • Wish You Were Here (1975)
  • Animals (1977)
  • The Wall (1979)

Boston released their self titled album 1976, so you can play "Moore than a Feeling". Deep Purple is another band that played back then.

I can already play that one! LOVE THAT TUNE! Love the "raspy" voice. I love that stuff, just like bon scott, and brian johnson , eric sardinas and stuff, it's ROUGH!:D Our singer doesn't have a voice like that, gotta make him gargle with razorblades and wiskey

Technically the year 1980 is part of the 70's decade.

It depends if you start counting from year 0 or year 1 and I'm damaged from studying too much computer science so I tend to index everything from 0. wink.gif

Another fact about it is, that Killers was released 1981. Only Iron Maiden was released in 1980. And the only official release before that was the Soundhouse Tape EP in 1979.

Yeah, I was too quick to type the album name. I never really listen to those two albums anyway.
