I usually don't break strings on my bass often because I change them regularly but I would say 3-4 times a year..

I break one at least once a month, Its always the low E or A, Never the highs, I dont know why. Probably cause when I play riffs, Im a bit aggressive sometimes, especially with downpicking, I abuse the hell out of them strings smile.gif

Well I have to be cautious with my schecter cause there are certain angles when the high E binds in the nut too much and even a brand new elixir string can break. I broke like 3 strings in one week when I realized that they don't break in the middle but near the tuning pegs - at the nut ohmy.gif

Other then that I usually never break a string

I used to have a tendency to break strings when I was restringing my guitar. Thing was, I never broke the high strings, I was always breaking the thick strings >_>. When I'm stretching them out, I guess I bend them too far, and the base of the string (with the ball end) snaps off...

Doesn't happen anymore, though.

I normally don't brake any strings. When I started using DR strings on my fender, the first 3 sets got me a broken string, but now everything is perfectly fine again (I guess it was because I was changing my action, intonation etc so often and that's now settled smile.gif).

I almost never break one. I usually change them and they're still intact, old, but intact.
