Hello everyone,

I'm rather in love with the sound of Steve Lukather from Toto and think his guitar looks awesome!
But i've never played one, does anyone have any experience with this guitar?
Maybe I buy one in a year or two.... tongue.gif

I haven't played one , should be a great instrument..But I'm not the fan of signature stuff, you'll have to try it yourself..Those guitars that famous guitarists play are never the same as same ones in retail...But it should provide you with a similar sound...Just try it in store to see how it feels..

yeah i would go for the jp7 (or jp 6 if i would want a 6 string)
but if you want luke sound, i don't think it will lead you to this.
i mean, luke has HSS configuration and emg pickups
jp6 has hh configuration with dimarzio pickups laugh.gif

I think (I could be wrong) that Musicman is one brand that doesn't have anything like a low price instrument, they're all high standards so they must be great since Van Halen, John Petrucci, Steve Lukather and many more play with this brand.

The piezio pick-up makes your guitar sound almost or just like an acoustic or just for giving a nice warm tone that would find with most hollow body guitars

Cool!!Sounds nice, i'll look into it and try some piezo- pick up guitars. smile.gif

I liked the LUKE way more then the JP. The Neck is much more comfortable, it's a V shape, which is surprisingly peachy tongue.gif and is not uncomfortably thin like the JP(in my opinion of course).. and it doesn't sound quite as metal as the JP does.

I already thought the JP was quite a metal guitar, I gues I'll have to try both then. I doubt if i can find any place in Holland where i can, butt I'll try.
