Can you please listen to the audio and critique as much as possible? Please be as mean as you want, it is the only way I can get better. This is Pavel's heavy metal 3 lesson.

ps Sorry for the quality, still don't really know how to use it

pps i am using my new ibanez sa with a line six spider III 15 watt, the tone is not great cuz of the spider

Your rhythm is definitely not terrible, though it could be improved. Try to play as often as you can iwth a metornome or a drum beat, and nod your head or tap your foot on the beats and emphasise the note you are playing. This shuld give you stronger timing.

Is not terrible man. It's your first recording, I bet you were nervous, we always are when we have to record something.
The one thing I want to tell you is that you have to practice a lot more but to get it fluid. You see, the recording showed like you were tense when you played that so that's what you have to work on. Be relaxed when you record something, and that only comes with practice in order to generate confidence.
Keem them comming mate!

I didn't think the timing was terrible. A little off, maybe but you're not terrible. Try to tighten up your playing a bit more and maybe work on muting so extra string noise.

It is actually very good, the sound itself is kind bad, but your playing is very decent mate. I would advise a bit sharper and tighter riffing, work on really nailing those riffs along with the drum.

Dude, you're being too harsh on yourself, that wasn't terrible at all. There's room for little improvement, but with daily practice you will get better in no time!

Like said, try to play with a metronome as often as you can. Playing along to songs can really you develop your rhythm playing too.

Good work for your first recording dude smile.gif

When I read your opening post I was expecting something a lot worse, but this is actually good!
Yeah, there's always something to improve and that goes for all of us, but honestly, I think you can be proud of this, keep recording stuff!
You'll improve each time and learn new tips as you go. :-)

Done bad at all man.

Just like the others said. You are being too hard on yourself.

Keep this recording and keep at it for a week or 2. Listen back on this versus the next one. You'll see how you improve.

If you want some recording practice, record another take and pan one right and one left. Listen to how HUGE it gets.
