How do you like the neck on that classical guitar? It looks like it would be great for shredding, but is it comfortable?

I like the neck on my Kimbara, compared to other classical guitars, I think it`s one of the best I have played on. This guitar is 100% comfortable wink.gif

I had a friend with a Kimbara back in the day, and borrowed it for a couple of gigs - very nice guitars!

somethings wrong with it tho. I'm new to humbuckers, my last guitar was a single coil Fender Strat. Is there a reason why the humbucker is loose? (it is easily moveable)

its because humbuckers are suspended in the middle by one screw, nowt wrong with the pickups as long as they dont drop down or can be pushed out of place. All humbuckers are a bit wobbly

Hey this is kinda off topic but it would really appreciate it if someone with greater knowledge could help me out here. I have been lent a fender stratocaster (MIA) by a friend of the family. He belives its a 1998, but I checked the serial number and it was E ###### which I belive would make it a 83 84 or 87? Though I've seen pictures of a 98 and it looks identical. Anyone know how old this guitar is? is the serial # always correct?

I've got a Schecter C1 Hellraiser (blk cherry model), Schecter Omen 6, Schecter ACS Elite (b-stock off ebay, haha, saved $125 because it had a little scratch on it), and a Schecter Omen 4 (bass).

Yeah, I love my Schecters =). They've all been totally awsome.

I then bought my acoustic a Garrison G20 which are made in St. John's NL. Not sure if many people are familier but its an awesome guitar. the bracing system in them is plastic, although with the newer higher end models they have gone back to natural wood bracing I believe. I wasn't to keen on the plastic bracing at first but after playing the G20, man it resinates forever.

Yeah man. I recently bought one Garrison. I'm not shure what model. I wasn't heard of Garrison before, but when I try it in a shop I just couldn't get out of the shop without it. Very nice sound and playabillity.

Other guitars I have:

1. Gibson Les Paul Standard faded
2. Fender American Stratocaster 1993
3. Fender American Deluxe Ash Stratocaster 2006
4. Fender American Deluxe Telecaster 2006
5. Nick PRS Eagle Custom 24
6. OLP MM1

First guitar I have was Kimaxe (chinese made, I think it was copy of Jackson or Shadow)

Hey iggy, do you find a difference between your 2 strats? I have a '92 Stat Plus w/ Lace pups (American I think), but its sustain is bad - I like the Fender sound for some stuff and was thinking that I should have maybe an Eric Johnson model in my dream collection, but wouldn't bother if it is just the same as the one I have in terms of sustain and sound.

I play an Ibanez RGR521ex1 Wizard II neck, 24 jumbo frets, mahogany body, maple fretboard.

The headstock is reversed, the body is black with a gorgeous 'dark swirl' design. My favorite thing about this guitar, other than the action(which is about as low as physically possible), is the sustain. When tuned to drop D, I could play an open D power chord, and go make a friggin sandwich. By the time i'm ready to eat, the chord will finally be fading. The fretboard has a pretty cool barb wire perloid inlay, which looks quite sick. It can kind of make you get lost in the fretboard though if you arent careful.

I'll link to the image of it i found:
http://cachepe.samedaymusic.com/media/qual...e67977fec16.jpg

The pickups are "emg designed" humbuckers. I dont know how they stand up to 81/85's, as I've never played a guitar sporting the real thing, but they work pretty well for me.
