I know there are several Opeth fans here.

And it seems a ton of metalheads.

So lots of you will be familar with this album.

But I know that at least 1 person here isn't. And if they find a new "must have" out of this thread it was worth the time.

Opeth's "Damnation" album... It's one of my top 5 desert island cds. Its amazing.

And its not heavy. At all. Or is it? Sonically its not. But its VERY full of emotion. So perhaps its wicked heavy after all....

I just checked out your Opeth clean/lead lesson yesterday.

Awesome. I listened to them today on the way to work becasue of that.

I JUST learned that they will be at the House Of Blues in Chicago IL USA on May 6th

Damnation is my favourite Opeth's album. It's beautiful music. Some parts reminds me to Fates Warning music (the most progressive albums not the first metal ones).
