In the midst of a constant battle against my sheety computer, I've finally managed to somewhat complete a song.
The mix is far from perfect though, and I probably need to re-record some parts also. I'd really like to get some suggestions on how to improve it. http://soundclick.com/share?songid=7297363 This post has been edited by botoxfox: Feb 1 2009, 08:18 PM -------------------- |

I like the part at 1:2? where the keys came in. Nice break. -------------------- My guitar bits on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/duathlon70

Cool song
![]() I'm not a fan of the mix though, as mentioned above, the highs are way to high on the guitars. Especially the lead guitars. The rhythm tracks sound more balanced. The rest of the instruments sounds normal though. -------------------- Guitars: Schecter Stiletto Classic, Jackson SLSMG, Ibanez RG-380 Japan, Gibson Les Paul Studio

Hm, drums sound really weird, like it had some strange reverb of the small room.....
The song itself is really nice ![]() -------------------- |

I think what's mentioned above is true, the whole track is too high, the cymbals and the whole drums are like pitched very high. Also the lead guitars are like "thin".
Maybe you need some sample like the EZDrummer (if you're not using that one). If you are using it you could eq the mix to correct that high pitched sound. The same regarding the guitars. The composition is cool, very major ![]() Keem them comming mate! -------------------- |
