my advise would be to let your guitar hang down a little lower and rest your picking hand palm on the bridge and strings to mute the strings you arent playing... other than that just keep at it and youll have it down in no time

Nice mate! Sounds great

One tip: always when you record be sure to tune your guitar before

One thing to practice: I'll leave you some exercise for finger independence because I've noticed that your pinky is conctracted most of the time and that's something you can work on biggrin.gif

If you have any questions don't doubt to ask smile.gif

Keem them comming

I tuned my guitar not to long before that with in the hour. Could it be my amp settings? The exercises that you posted for me dont show up it says file not recognize and it is a broken link. I would really liek to be able to see and practise those exercises. Any help would be awesome.

That's really odd.
You have to click on the "attached file" and that would say "open/save".
I just downloaded one of them to see if it works and it does but in case that you cannot download them you can send me a PM and I'll send it to you that way.

Regarding the tuning: could be that your guitar got out of tune in that hour and also could be that you're putting too much pressure and that creates some little microbends that causes the bad intonation.

Those are Guitar Pro files which is a software tabulature editor that I recommend you getting in the future. Not to expensive and will help you a ton.

Man, your video brings back some memories.. laugh.gif I joined GMC a little over a year ago and was right where you are at. I joined as an absolute but determined beginner. Power chords was the first thing on my agenda. However, it brought on some seriously bad habit's like all down strokes and no finger impedance.

I'm still fighting to break those habit's and stongly encourage you too take a different approach. I know you want to rock, as I did too, but trust me it will be better down the road bro.

If you would, try and start working on this lesson very slowly, understanding the shapes and develope your timing with it. It's a "1" rating but I promise, you will find it far from easy. wink.gif

After you have it at the slowest speed, gradually increase the beats per minute. By all means, don't spend all your time on it..... tongue.gif

I hope you don't take this post as "you need to do this",but just as some advice from someone who was there not so long ago.. smile.gif

Feel free to pm me anytime with questions and I'll do my best to help you out.

Steve

Yeah, when I'm fretting a string too much, it gets somewhat like a quarter-tone bend... rolleyes.gif

But I've just watched your video - and it's really out of tune, it's not the matter of micro-bends... hm.
Nevertheless, keep working and post us your progress - I can see for myself it really helps and people here always have some really helpful notices biggrin.gif
