Whatever floats your boat I guess, but it does nothing for me.

It sure looks impressive, and I am sure it takes more skill than I will ever have, and its taken years of practice.... but is it just me or does that stuff sound crap once you look away?
which begs the question..... why?
OK OK, stop that or you will have an aneurism - lol - I know some of you like it.

I personally love it. I thought it was very melodic in an interesting way. Plus it demonstrated the application of three important techniques many of us are working on: Sweeps, alternate picking, and tapping... Not to mention the string-skipping.

Try some of these out

E-------------------------------------------12----15----19T--------
B-------------------------------------------------------------------
G-----------------------------------------------------------------
D-----------------------14----17----21T---------------------------
A------------------------------------------------------------------
E---12----15----19T-----------------------------------------------

(Practice up and down.)

An extension of that would be:

E-------------------------------------------15----19----22T------------
B----------------------------------------------------------------------
G---------------------------------------------------------------------
D-----------------------14----17----21T-------------------------------
A-----------------------------------------------------------------------
E---12----15----19T------------------------------------------------------

No tabs that I know of. Like I already said, his name is Andy James. That's solo instrumental guitar music, but he does or at least did have a band called Fallen Ikarus.

These patterns present a very interesting arpeggio approach. Not very different from some of the tapping patterns we have covered in the tapping lessons. (this one uses string skipping and wider stretches)

And Shawn Lane could play the exact same pattern as Andy but only with his left hand (clarification: no tapping, huge stretch, unbelievable speed and accuracy). amazing

I guess Shawn wouldn't have had any problems pulling it of with picking either... Al though he was probably a little faster with legato - but it's nothing I know for sure...

I've seen some great players drop down with their right knee on the floor to perform more difficult passages.
