Hi,
I found this site by searching 'learn metal rhythm guitar", and this site came up with a sweet riff lesson. I finally picked up my guitar after 16 long years. I consider myself still a beginner. I know basic power chords, and a few riffs here and there. I want to play with feeling, If I play fast I want it to be with feeling, and same with slow. My favorite bands are Chevelle, and Three Days Grace. They inspired me to give my dream of play guitar another try. I really like the site, but very disappointed that you can't download any of the lessons. The finger tapping lesson took forever to play. It wasn't half way through the lesson, and a half hour went by. That's my only real complaint of the site. I am using a sprint mobile broadband card so it shouldn't be that slow. I am looking forward to getting better at guitar, and making some friends along the way. Peace.

DWR

This is a great place to learn!

Welcome to GMC man and if you need some help or have some questions, please ask

Rock on!

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Welcome DW, I hate you are experiencing a slow stream. I'll have a look at that lesson and see if I can find any recommendations. You shouldn't have that problem. I hope you will find that this is an awesome site for guitar players from beginner to advanced! smile.gif

Welcome! Hope the streaming issues improve for you. I have guitar pro which I find useful since I can dial in any tempo that I'm comfortable with and work together with that and the backing tracks. Works a treat for me. Congrats on picking up the guitar after 16 years. Have fun! smile.gif

Hey DW,

I went through all the tapping lessons and all seem to be loading fine. Could you check and see if a flash player update helps your situation? Update HERE

Let us know if that helps any. smile.gif
