I just joined about a week ago, and just love this place. I have been playing for about 30 years with some time off for work and family life. Did play in cover bands thru college years but was just too much to deal with.
Always wanted to play professionally but it never came about. Started out playing bass. Still play both bass and guitar and love to play both equally. Pretty much just play in my bed room but would at least like to jam with other players on the weekends . Thanks for having me and looking forword learning as much as i can

Welcome to the site stickpin. This place can become very addicting. If you want to jam with others you should join one of the collabs going on. Emir has a cool one going that is open to everyone. Also check out the Virtual Bands board and sign up.

Have fun! smile.gif

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

Welcome! As said before, if you would like to jam with people across the world, try one of the ongoing collabs or sign up for a virtual band! Especially if you play bass, you could be a useful member in virtual bands to lay down bass lines as well apart from the lead track smile.gif
