I have a C1 + and while I would not call it a BIG problem the G string does go out of tune more than any other. I thought is was just mine. Weird. I think that's G strings generally go out of tune more often. I did notice the problem on my epiphone and ibanez. One thing that seems to help a lot is to give the strings a good stretch every now and then.Mandos, why not a C-7? IIRC they are tunes to B E A D G B E. - Jonas This post has been edited by 29a: Feb 12 2009, 09:15 AM -------------------- My Website | My Gear | Elixir Nanoweb Strings Review | Installing Schaller Security Locks

What sort of finish do the Schecters have on the neck? Glossy or satin? The glossy finish on my Epi Les Paul is driving me nuts. My hand is always sticking to it. On the C-1 Classic it's glossy and tends to get sticky when it is dirty. Jonas -------------------- My Website | My Gear | Elixir Nanoweb Strings Review | Installing Schaller Security Locks

Hm I was now able to get a quite brutal and organic rhythm sound out of my c-1 classic. It only sounds good on high volumes so far. But I guess that's just a matter of fiddeling with an EQ/mastering it proberly. But I've got no clue what I've changed. I just know that I turned some knobs when I was a bit drunk It's still not very tight or clear sounding but already good for some riffs.
Has anybody played a schecter blackjack atx? It doesn't look as great as the hellraiser (no mapple top and the inlay is not really my thing either) but other wise I guess that it is a great guitar. - Jonas -------------------- My Website | My Gear | Elixir Nanoweb Strings Review | Installing Schaller Security Locks

I want a seven string, but both the Hellraiser and JL is pretty pricey in my country (around 1500 $). Do you or anyone else have some experience with the Omen Extreme 7? I want a metal/hardrock guitar without anykind of tremolo so I can change tuning more easily. I saw that the Omen Extreme has Schecter pickups, anyone with oppinions about them? Or suggestion for other pickups to change them with If you know which one you want you could order a C-7 blackjack from thomann.de for 680€ or 880 USD. The loomis would be 800€. Afaik the Omen is schecters line of cheaper guitars with bolt on necks etc. Now im thinking about getting a 7 string myself. But I haven't even enslaved 6 strings Hope that helps, Jonas -------------------- My Website | My Gear | Elixir Nanoweb Strings Review | Installing Schaller Security Locks
