Hi Guys,

just wanted to say hi! my name is James and i live in London 33 years old and a great lover of music, i've written a few tracks before on the computer and even had some played in clubs, but at heart i am truly metal wink.gif

so, im just starting out on guitar, and have my lesson plan ready!

# In the Style of Black Sabbath
# Rammstein Style 2
# Beginner - Strumming and Arpeggios
# Fingers Independence I
# Basic Metal Rhythm Guitar
# Flyleaf Style Lesson
# Slow Soloing Lesson
# Modern Metal E Minor

im starting off with the Black Sabbath one, and have managed to play ok up to video 3 (4 is a bit hard atm smile.gif )

is it best to stick with a lesson until you completely finish it, or is it best to mix it up a bit from my bunch? comments gladly welcomed.

anyway, i hope my guitar improves (im sure it will given time) as when im ready im looking forward to Lian's Black/Death metal lessons smile.gif

anyway enough about me, thanks for a top site and i look forward to playing some more lessons!

James

Hi there! I think it is good to practice few lessons at once, because playing same thing for a long time would be boring for me.

Welcome to the GMC family James smile.gif

--------------------
"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato
