You need to know major scale modes, chord construction and chord recognition. Use this website for some training.
http://www.musictheory.net/ About the sight singing you need to know how to read basic notes. Try above website and sing some scales. Then find some simple notations on internet (grade 1-3) and learn it on the guitar then try to sing it. You need to recognise intervals. They will probably test you in interval recognition (thirds, fifths, octaves etc...). With this learned you can sing some simple melodies while looking at the notes. Note duration is also important, (eight notes, quarter notes, half notes...). You don't need complex syncopated structures if that's a minor type of course. You will learn it there.
