When i play a power chord on the 2nd fret it sounds in tune... but if i move it to the 12th fret it sounds out of tune.
Do i need to get my guitars intonation adjusted? |

Most likely, besides.. it never hurts to get your guitar regularly intonated.
It could also be that your strings are old and dirty. A good way to check this is to get your tuner and see if the twelth fret on a string goes higher or lower than open string. This way you can easily do it yourself by adjusting untill it's around the same. Check out this site mate, it has tips on adjusting action and intonation etc, the link is for a les paul but the principles are the same on any guitar. You have to check not only the intonation but also the action and check if the neck is straight.
I leave you some videos to adjust the intonation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff-63H-dzoQ -------------------- |
