Hey guys,

as you might have seen in the description. Yesterday was like my birthday. I finaly got him! & it sounds incredible in the room I practice in. I can just recommend that amp to anyone. Until now, I couldn´t find any sound that couldnt be created and the clean channel is just "baam" for a marshall smile.gif

Anyway, one question, I really don´t understand the whole impedance thing. There are 5 Outputs at the back of the head 1x4 Ohm, 2x8 Ohm, 1x16 Ohm, 2x16 Ohm, 2x8Ohm.

The BOX:

http://www.musicstore.de/de_DE/EUR/Marshal...-GIT0000363-001

The description says Mono 4/16 Ohm or Stereo 2x8 Ohm. How should I connect the wire from the box to the top in its best way?

I noticed that the Stereo Input at the Box makes the box use 2 speakers only.

Can anyone explain the impedance thing and stereo/mono? Would be nice!

I tried to read something about it, but I´m kind of to stupid. I understand the formulas, but not the thing as one smile.gif

Thanks and Cheers!

you use the 1 16ohm output from your head is this is the only cabinet you are running.

Go into the mono 16ohm input on the cab.

Do you have more than one cab?

yep, then the one cab into the 16 ohm mono jack is how you want to do it.

You have a 16 ohm cab.

The head can run that cab just fine, or 2 8 ohm cabs.

Your cab has 8ohm inputs too. But you dont want to use those unless you are running two.

Yeah, lots of maggots around here. wink.gif

I havent seen any of them in a while. I used to bump into Jim, Mick, & Shaun a few times a year. The bass player in my band hangs with Corey now and then.

Nice guys.

I'm not the biggest fan of their stuff. Nice to have local dudes enjoying success though.

Yeah its nice.

Pretty calm. Which is cool.

Sucks that you gotta drive a few hours to anything "big".

I can be in downtown Chicago in 5 1/2 hours. I've done many a concert trip like that.

Leave home at 8am or so. Get to town at 2pm. Park the car. Wander the city and take in the sites for the afternoon. Grab dinner. Go to the show. Back to the car at 11pm. Pull in the driveway back home at 4:30am

That is one LONG drive home.

What are the 2 channels on this one? Is it Clean and OD1? Or is it Clean and Crunch?

I'm thinking about this amp as the next one for me.
