Hey,
So my band has got a bunch of covers and about 7 original songs done (no recording equipment yet) and we've been looking into playing a little live show, so i already asked about a battle of the bands in a different forum, but is there anywhere else that our band would be able to play? we cant play bars though because we are only 13-14. See if any of your friends have big birthday parties coming up. B'day parties are a good way to start, this is how I got into gigging. Playing pop punk coverslike Blink 182 / The Offspring / The Ataris / Green Day / Goldfinger etc at birthdays. Just host a backyard party, a cookout or evening dance.
I used to play after basketball and football games in high school. The cheerleaders would chrage at the door and we'd get half, and the cheerleaders got the other half. We'd get a couple hundred kids at a buck a each or so. |
