Well I need a few days without playing now. I played till my finger bleed but that’s what I get for only playing once a week. biggrin.gif

I will upload a new take in a few days after my fingers heal and post in the REC program, but for now I committed to uploading and practicing at least one thing a week so now I could use your comments please. smile.gif

Am I on the right track with this?

Thanks

Jeff

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato

That sounded great.

What are you using to record?

/'cause I'm taking my lumps in the REC about my tone.

Hi Jeff,

It's really a great work, with good feeling & sound!
For sure, you're on the good way.
If I want to be a little bit picky, just 1 or 2 bends to improve and rhythm placement on 1 or 2 licks.
And the next take will be perfect wink.gif

Thanks for the comment. smile.gif Those will be fixed in final upload in a few days. My finger tips had blisters from playing all afternoon when a decided to try and record this. It was like playing on razor blades about half way through. laugh.gif

ohmy.gif Thanks for the scores man. tongue.gif As far as Room Cleanliness goes, it is nice that my wife lets me play guitar in her storage room. laugh.gif biggrin.gif

To answer your question about recording, I just use an UX1 and Gearbox software. If you want the tone file I can post it for you.

I needed a good bend workout. I've been working on a lot of AP for the past several weeks and my fingers have gotten soft.
I hope it pays off when I upload to REC.

You said you practice this lesson also? I would LOVE to hear (see) you shred on this man! You should upload a take tongue.gif

Jeff this is really good take !
You know I will always tell you the truth no matter what smile.gif

There were couple of out of tune bends - they were 99% flat and not up to pitch. Phrasing was great, sound was spot on, whole feeling was just awesome. I really enjoyed listening to it. I would give A - to this if I was to grade it, only because I know you can get those bends down better !

Well done man, I never saw you on video smile.gif

This sounds awesome man. After reading Pedja's comment I listened again and heard what he was saying about a few bends being out of tune, but I'm sure that will be simple enough to fix once your fingers heal. I definitely enjoyed this, has a nice feel to it smile.gif

No worries Pedja. I really like your comments and your 110% correct in regards to my bends. smile.gif I wouldn't want you to be anything but honest with me. That's one of the reasons I really respect you around here.

I'm also glad you kind of liked it and you know I can play it better.

This is only my 3rd recording with this video camera so I'm trying to get more comfortable with this.

Hope my ugly mug didn't scare you to much laugh.gif biggrin.gif
