Well. It IS possible, cause in some tabs ive downloaded, it says all chords below the title. so,

Go to Note Menu > Chord and presto!

Go to the bar where you want to put chord, press "A" and the chord dialog will appear. Choose/make the chord and that place in the bar will be labeled with chord name and in the beginning of the score it will display shape as well.

But it has to be added in by the tab creator correct? The information has to be inputted by someone. GP can't "read" the file and present a list of chords used in the song.

I see what you mean. There is no such feature. GP cannot create chords based on the notes it reads.

Yeah, that would be indeed a nice feature. That would lead to some acquard progressions sometimes, but it would be definitely something that would be a very useful thing. Perhaps they will integrate some arranger module in some future versions, I would be very happy about that.
