I bought a bass last saturday, I decided I wanted to share the bassplaying part with one of the other (3!) guitar players in our coverband. Of course I need a bass right?

The bass is an Epiphone Thunderbird Gothic. I don't know the first thing about basses but it looked nice so I bought it, hehe.

Today I found a demo Jackson SLSMG guitar for a very nice price at a guitarstore in Stockholm so I went and bought that one too, I need a backup right?

Now, I got a nice "first" guitar, the ESP Eclipse I, a backup guitar, the Jackson SLSMG and a nice looking bass. But no Acoustic guitar, I need one of those too right? So I orded one....
http://www.thomann.de/gb/takamine_eg320c.htm

plus a couple straps, straplocks and cases... oh and a multi guitarstand. And I have to redecorate the room to fit 'em hehe

wow man, that's a nice gear and a big GAS! Congratulations. I'm specially interested in that Takamine piece, so when you get it, it would be awesome if you could provide us with some info on it: how it sounds, what are pros/cons. Your experience would mean a lot for people who wanna buy similar equipment!

You can't go wrong with the Epiphone Thunderbird... my brother has got one (with the simple sunburst finish) and it sounds awesome. That Jackson looks pretty good too hehe! Yes, you need a bass. yes, you need a back up guitar. you need an acoustic, yes. maybe a backup for the acoustic? or a backup for the backup Jackson? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif i wish i had the money to do some shopping...

The wallet's empty (now) man. And I am 37, still nice to be called a young man now and then.

About a review of the Takamine, I suppose I can write something about it but I am no expert on acoustics smile.gif

Thanks guys. And my wife didn't even kill me yet so that's good smile.gif

There will be a soundclip of the Jackson soon-ish. The acoustic I can probably record somthing with too. The bass will have to wait, I kinda suck at playing it, I do like how it plays compared to some other basses I tried tho, and it sounds good to my untrained bass ears.

The bass has already played a live gig too! Our bassplayer broke a string the day before the gig and didnt have any extras so I brought mine smile.gif
