I think memorizing comes naturally - given the time you need to spend to actually learn to play each part of the solo. |

I don't know why guys are so impressed with this. I watched the second video also. Of all those notes, not one single note, not a rhythm or accent, nothing, that displayed any creativity, or true depth some human thing that goes beyond just mechanics.

And I really don't expect any better out of him later, he would show it now, if he was a naturally creative or spiritual type of artist. Shoot, my rating just went to 4 stars, this is how I shoot it down to 3. Well I can't help myself. |

I was trying to figure out her bpm, and found she was all over the place, ranging maybe from a little over 120, to maybe 145. That is how you play music, not like you are a robot. Anyway, everyone who read this can tell me how stupid I am, and how I don't know anything, although I am going to continue to be stupid like this, because it makes sense to me. I completely agree with you. I do not see anything special about this young man. I'm not trying to be mean, rude, or disrespectful to anyone, but most of the instructors here at GMC are better players. Yes, I agree that he is very clean, and accurate, but so is a drum machine!! He is very good for his age !!! Its always good to use the metronome or backing tracks when practicing but as mentioned by fkalich , one has to be able to to play freely and with a feeling too, in order to be good musician!
