Hm, .. as a solo i prefer the 1st take, but the 2nd is maybe the better choice for this time-feel collab, right?

I will use the 1st take then smile.gif
Don't worry about 2nd take, I just wanted you to do more double time to stretch you out a bit Andy.

QUOTE (jonathan @ Apr 27 2009, 05:25 PM) *
Here's my second take. I did exactly what you said, recorded a few times and then chose the best one.
hope you like it smile.gif

Thank you Jonathan !
Its better then the first one , I will accept this one smile.gif

Hey Pedja, here's my final take, I tried as hard as I could with trying to get up to a double time feel as you suggested, but I just can't play 16th notes right just yet. I practiced for the past couple days, but it just wasn't enough, they still sound way too sloppy to record a solo with. Hopefully this take is adequate for the collab, I think it at least has the variances in speed from slow to fast playing.

Joe this will do for time being. I want you to work on 16th note phrasing in future even after this collaboration.
I plan to do more double time soloing collaborations in future so you will definitely develop that in your vocabulary.
Thanks for submitting your take !

hmmm, I dunno...sounds ok to me... but then again, my ear is not that developed huh.gif

I always tune the guitar before recording... huh.gif

Maybe the intonation is off cause my strings are really worn (my sweat is very toxic, so they wear quickly).

I'll try recording again, but unfortunately I don't have money for new strings ATM... dry.gif

EDIT: just checked the intonation, it's waaaaay off. cca 1/8th step at 12th fret on all strings. sorry, I'm afraid I can't fix this ATM. The guitar is set up correctly, it has to be because of string wear. sad.gif

No problem Dado, I just figured I should mention it. I heard the take only once so I didn't pay attention if it was intonation or tuning, but some string sounded a bit off to me thats why I mentioned it.
No worries, I will keep the take, it has good structure and melodic approach.
