Hey there,

Some time ago me and Pedja had a chat on MSN, where I threw a link to a myspace page with some of my old piano improvisations. They were made just a short time after I bought my digital piano several years back. I ain't practicing or playing as much as I should, but merely use it for the occasional relaxing playing. Pedja said I should give you guys the link and that you all probably would like it, so I've finally decided to do so:

http://www.myspace.com/withinautumn

Besides that I also just sat down and recorded another improvisation on my digital piano. It's a bit slow, but speeds up a bit about half way, and not very loud as I didn't really think about that part untill after listening to it, but if you raise the volume of your speakers just a bit, it should be fine. If you look at me while playing it looks as if I have no idea where to put my hands (and I don't!), but if you close your eyes, do something else while listening, it should sound as if everything was played as it was meant to be! laugh.gif

So tell me what you think of both video and the two songs on my old myspace profile smile.gif

Wow Ben, great to see you took your improvisations and posted them here.

First track on your myspace is very nice improvisation. Wonderful chord voicings, melodies and counterpoint. I enjoyed it a lot. Please keep piano as second instrument as much as possible besides guitar playing !

Beautiful stuff, man! I gotta ask, though, what is up with the elephants? The song's names are "Angels and Elephants" and "Elephants in Tall Grass." laugh.gif

You don't happen to have transcriptions of any of these, do you? I'm fairly new to the piano myself, and would love to take a look at these songs.

Hey, don't know what it is about elephants really. laugh.gif

I don't have any transcriptions, as they are 3 years old as well as just improvisations. Sorry :/

You're awesome. I can just imagine if I could play piano, everything would look much easier. That's a huge benefit man.
