Orderd yesterday, in the mail this morning! Rory Live at Cork Opera House. It has a docu and more stuff too. Cork is Rory's birthplace and the dvd came with a guide with rory's favourite spots. The dvd has 13 tracks and is legendary! He play's one acoustic tune and one on a dobro, Rory is an amazing slide player!
And the dvd was only 8 Euro's! That's like, 11 dollars:D Really, if you're anywhere near interested in blues/rock n roll BUY THIS DVD!

Hey Jesse,

Rory was amazing, his hard hitting blues went a little unappreciated I think but to me hes just awesome, where did you get the DVD? Off a site somewhere? could you post/pm me the details please? I would love to get a copy of this.

did you know that the reason his guitar looked the way it did is because he had a rare blood type and his sweat would strip the paint clean off it! Kinda interesting and kinda gross too!

Yeah I know that:D I've told it to everyone I ever spoke about rory with:D My mom watched the dvd with me, she said. Didn't he just do that with a blowtorch? biggrin.gif I went like " nooooooooo.... he etc etc etc..." biggrin.gif

I got it off of bol.com a dutch site like amazon, it has pretty much anything as far as music/books/dvd's and such! It's a multimedia site, it has tv's, phones, notebooks ,anything you can name:D

And it's cheap!

Minor thing Jesse, As much as I'd like to claim Rory for Cork - being a nice Cork boy myself - Rory was born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal rather than Cork. He did live most of his life in Cork though smile.gif .

AFAIK Ballyshannon have an annual Rory Gallagher festival as well Jesse - might be worth checking out.
Get the family to go to Donegal on holiday - it's a nice place although maybe a bit quiet if you don't like looking at wildlife and views.
