I was watching some youtube lick library movies and saw one of Guthrie Govan's sweep picking movies and discovered what I considered my last problem to do great sweep picking ohmy.gif

Well, I can sweep decently, but I could never pick correctly the first string of the pattern after I came with the upstroke, I saw the movie and understood that guthrie makes a jump and instead of picking the string both times (upstroke and downstroke to restart the pattern), he jumps and starts the pattern without doing the upstroke, making it easier IMO smile.gif

If I remember correctly, in Wonderful Slippery thing there's a sort of sweep that he doesn't sweep - it's all hammered on from nothing..
