hey guys, i just ordered a "switch" guitar

apparently these we designed by wilkinson (the trem company) but they went out of business because these guitars never caught on

i got one off ebay for $200, while i havent received it yet, i thought i might give you guys the heads up.

they are made from a material called vibracell which is supposed to emulate wood tone..(supposedly mahogany) they have an ebonite finger board, and they come in funky shapes and colors

the cool thing about these are what you get for the price:

-real wilkinson trem
-Locking grover tuners
-EMG select pick ups (i know these arent the real EMGs)

but for $200, thats a great deal, i heard nothing but good things, so if you are looking for a budget guitar, search ebay for switch guitars

Marc,
Have you got your switch guitar yet? I'll be interested to hear what you think. It sounds like it is basically a graphite necked guitar.....all my Ibanez guitars have graphite necks and I love them. Definitely need to do a review of it. smile.gif

laugh.gif ... my first thoughts were .. "too much corners to clean", but it looks interesting!! I would like to hear some samples as well. The trem/tuner setup is great .. seems to be a good deal for this price !!

One of my students got one. It's pretty good but his is pretty heavy.
The vibracel has a really good sustain, I think you'll like this a lot!
