For drop C I just went and put a metal muff in front of the Mesa, and it sounds good I think. I tune to Drop C maybe twice a year for a month or so (damn only 1 good guitar in my collection haha), so for me it isn't worth swapping the SD out.

Well I think I'm gonna grab a pair of EMG's which will be great for Drop C, but I'll try out my friends Metal Muff with my amp when I buy the Ibanez. Thanks for the tip wink.gif

You'll love the metal muff, my Ubermetal is a total paper weight now.

Yeah I've tried it with my setup and it's good but I wish it's distortion would have more options. It kinda goes from AHHHHH to KINDA BRUTAL!!!! But it doesn't have that little extra gain that I'd like (the 'goes to 11' factor) and it doesn't get light, but what it does it does real well for a non tube distortion.

I don't agree, this guitar is the best I've played! That's why I bought it!

the s5470 is an ok guitar, not as "prestige" as you would think,

believe it or not, the SV5470 is much better in quality, and sustain (which is the complaint of the S prestiges)

I both have an Ibanez RGA and an Ibanez RG prestige (with floyd) and I would recommend the RGA if you don't use your floyd very much.

I hardly play my RG anymore because I hardly used my floyd and found it to be complicated (to much bells and wistles for me).
The RGA is simple and straight forward.

Also a thing I noticed: with my RGA I can do my pinch harmonix much better.

also it looks killer: I have the crushed dark ocean model (sadly discontinued) and I can touch it all I want with my fingers and it doesn't get any smudges. It simply looks out of this world cool.gif. Just check my avatar!

Just my two cents wink.gif
