I thought he used some sort of pick and left his extra fingers open for hybrid picking. No he usually don´t use a pick, but he uses it sometimes when he plays rythm parts. I saw a video where he is explaining his picking style, and he uses the thumb for all the bass notes and sometimes even on the treble strings. That´s breaking the rules as he calls it, because that is not the usual way to pick, the thumb should not be used on the treble strings, but he likes to bend the rules. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glNVyjQPjqc...feature=related And thanks for the comments all, very kind. Congratulations! It's quite an effort to nail down this song, but it's very rewarding (for me it took 4 months )
One or another lick comes a little offtime, but all in all you did really a great job. I like your tone, but it seems to me use middle+bridge to play it right? I prefer playing it with neck+middle, but that´s a matter of taste. Once again, congrats! -------------------- my "Thank you GMC!" video
