Ok, the pain is now over guys, no longer will I bug you with obscure questions about off the wall guitars (Well, until GAS strikes again), my new family member was picked up after an 8 hour round trip this morning to the other side (Literally!) of the country.
I present my Fender USA Telecaster, blonde with a black pick guard (I go all squiffy when I type that!) its an 07 model and the guy has had it for 12 months from new and never really played it, honestly there is not a mark on this thing.
I have tried lots of guitars and could never understand the telecaster thing, until I played one!
Everything about these things just screams "Play me" the neck is as soft as a babys bottom and the fret job is awesome, theyre not as heavy as you would expect (Although I am over 6 feet and 17 stone!) and the pickups just have something that other guitars dont have, I would call it "Bite", its just got that feeling when you play it!
I know the younger guys will all disagree and the older guys will all nod sagely but I do think that the fact that this is a fifty year old design that has not benn substantially changed and still remains one of the most popular guitars (If not the most!) on sale today speaks for itself!
Anyway, expect to see a lot of my new friend when my Webcam arrives and you all get to laugh at my ugly mug and stupid accent!

Very nice guitar ! biggrin.gif Personally, however, I've always found that horizontal control + jack pad a bit strange, but I do admit the telecasters have a very attractive side smile.gif

Ok Ok I overreacted but I heard so much people talking about the Ht-5, praising it and when I had the opportunity to finally play one I was disappointed by the tone and versatility - it's not bad, maybe I just expected too much after all those reviews...
