Hi fellow GMC-ers,

My tremolo-bar is not staying in place. I want it to be more in place were I put it, but it keeps on falling in the 'down'-position.
What can I do about it. I've got a Ibanez RG 1570 with a Edge-Pro tremolo.

And for a short while now my G-string is buzzing when I play it as a open string. Who knows what is causing the buzz.

regards, Erick

Get thicker bearings for the trem-bar.
Friction will increase, and it will stay put.

I do this on my old RG.

Hi Snaarmaarwaar, Welcome to GMC smile.gif

Im not sure how it is for Edge-Pro but usually there is a little screw somewhere that you can tighten to make you tremolo bar stay in place.
Maybe the pictures in this topic help:

Thightening the screws in this picture helped for my RG, i guess yours has something similar.
(you have to push the tremolo all the way down to get to see them)

Erick:

in the back of the trem, there should be a little hex hole that will allow you to tighted the hole the trem bar sleeps in,

that should do the trick!

if you click on the link in my signature, you should find the guide on it.

hope it helps, any questions let me know,

Marc

edit: joruus beat me to it, what he showed you is correct smile.gif
