In my last collaboration I was encouraging usage of Altered mode over E7#9 chord (F melodic minor). Nobody did it but there will be more ways to use it, perhaps in some future collaborations. Keep an eye for them and participate if you are available. It will definitely help you put all this theory to practical use and make music with it.
