> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Lesson:

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/rhythm-gu...h-style-lesson/

Gear:
Guitar: I don't know (I'm not a kind of gear-guy wink.gif )
Recording: Boss BR900CD
Video: My web cam ( dry.gif )

Note: I had a little problem in the ending because I don't have 23 frets... So instead of playing on the 23th fret on the E-string and 22 on the B-string I played some harmonics (I think it's what it's called) in 11th and 10th fret instead on the same strings (hope you understand what I mean)

Anyway, hope I didn't mess the lesson up too bad... wink.gif

I have had to watch the original lesson 3 times in order to see what you did wrong as some notes sounded very weird. To be honest, you did most of it pretty good. There are issues with timing and vibrato. Your faster lines need to be much more tight and with much more confidence. Vibrato is something you should also work on. This is still pretty weak vibrato. On some parts you were starting the phrase slightly earlier. You got all the notes right and all the riffs were pretty good. When it comes to soloing you need more control. But I would say that you did a quite good job anyway.

I agree with Ivan and Emir, you need to work more on sound,
not just guitar sound but also the way to mix guitar AND backing track nicely.
With more practicing you'll gain more control and vibrato will sound more smooth,
keep working, nice job so far. smile.gif
