Need Help Making A Guitar List, All metal baby!!

Dual humbucker setup Not a "V" body Less than $1,000 I have tried a Schecter C-1 Hellraiser and liked it. I would love to try a Jackson SLSMG, but have never seen one in person. If you go for Schecter you can choose between the Blackjack Series (passive Seymour Duncan Jeff Beck/59 pickups), the Blackjack ATX series (active Seymour Duncan Blackouts) or the Hellraiser series (active, coil-splitable emg pickups) Almost every shape that Schecter offers is available in these variations Esp is too expensive but Esp Ltd is a possibility like the jon donais signature Skalde mentioned, regular ltds are the mh, h, ax or graphic explorer series. The Jackson SLSMG is a great bang for the buck, especially if you find the Schecter Necks to thick. Other than that, there are Jackson Dinky models (with bolt on necks) in your price range, or even more expensive soloists with string through body And that's about it. Dean makes some V's and ML shapes with string through and BC rich has some string throughs with odd shapes but that's prolly not what you're looking for. As said, if you want to stick with a passive p/u, there are a lot better choices from which to choose. Pickups are a dime a dozen and it's all about the tone you are looking for. Actually, one of my guitars will keep the 81/85 combo, the other, I'm looking at a set of Stan Hinesley's. Just focus on the guitar at this point, you'll probably end up changing things around anyway. Some great economical p/up's that I would recommend are made by Kent Armstrong and Bill Lawrence.
