All Guitar Idol Finalists Announced!

May 18 2009, 10:27 PM	Instructor Posts: 1.359 Joined: 28-July 08 From: Miami FL	I believe the composition plays a significant part, technical ability doesn't make someone a better guitarist, but using techniques to great nice melodies is what counts. Music is subjective so you'll never know who has a better composition, only which one most people agree is the best. Another important part of this competition is the buzz on a certain guitar player, an example is Danielle Gottardo, he might not promote himself and get 500 votes, however the judges know that there is an interest in him, I mean all of us know about him right?, he was a finalist last year, and I have seen his name in a few places. And of course his entry was amazing, so I had no doubt he'd be in the finals. The great entries that didn't make it will still show the world the talent out there, and little by little will be known for their skills on the guitar (by skills I mean technique and composition).
