I have been practing this Chorus Section for awhile and I had one quick question.

Is he starting the first to notes of each sequence with two down strokes or just pure alternate picking,
I cant quite tell but I mean the two downs feel more natural to me.

He plays it with strict alternate picking, no double downstrokes... If you can play it better with two downstrokes then it's fine too!

most amazing is the fact that this is the base of the chorus part ... hahaha laugh.gif
yeah, I agree with emir, when he plays 2 notes on 3rd and 2nd string, he use a short sweep.

but if you can play it with A.P. it´s fine too.

The best chorus riff ever IMO:D It just sounds so melodic with rest of the band and singing..

Too bad we mere mortals will never be able to compose this kind of stuff biggrin.gif

Btw. as I see it, he uses pure alretnate picking with some economy/sweeps put in places, where he plays those sweep licks on top of arpeggios, just before the chord change happens. Basicly its what Lian said..

there are some EP moments in there. But you can play it anyway you like really, as long as the sound and the tempo is right smile.gif
