How do you guys do when you want to learn a new style?
Do you figure out special rhythms for the style and what scales you can use and so on?
Give me some suggestions smile.gif

I just learn a song. If I learn 40 or 50 songs in that style then I eventualy get to know the style.

The whole songs or just a few riffs from everyone of them?

Yeah, learn songs, exam what you have in there
and you'll get familiar with the style.
But examine as much as possible starting with rhythm section (drums and bass)
then harmonies, lead lines etc.

Tho whole songs of course. It would be great as Muris suggested to analyze other instruments as well, this can help a lot.
